Description
The Owens is intended to be an OmniMech upgrade of the Jenner BattleMech and is even faster than that mech. The Owens is a strong spotting unit for artillery and Semi-Guided LRMs as well as a point 'Mech for C3 lances with its permanently mounted TAG laser designator and C3 Slave unit. It also carries a hard-mounted Beagle Active Probe, letting it spot hidden foes quickly. The weaponry on the Owens tends towards being an afterthought. The Prime variant carries a pair each of LRM-5s and Small Lasers, as well as a single Medium Laser.

A field upgrade developed in the midst of Operation Bulldog, this configuration used captured Clan Smoke Jaguar weapons to help bolster the SLDF forces in later waves. Armed with the Owens-E's MRM-10 launcher, the R replaces the rest of the weapons with a battery of Clan-spec ER Medium Lasers.
