Description

Designed by Cosara Weaponries in 2741 to, quote, cripple or destroy another 'Mech in one salvo, the King Crab is a fearsome combatant. Armed primarily with twin AC/20s and backed up by a Large Laser and LRM-15, the King Crab is dangerous at any range while its thick armor ensures it can close the distance with any opposition. However, it carries limited ammunition for the autocannons, ensuring it is dependent on supply lines. Still, the KGC-000 should not be underestimated.

Description

Building upon experiences from the Clan Invasion, the King Crab Omni was an attempt to provide the Inner Sphere with an omnimech chassis capable of rivaling the Dire Wolf. Capable of carrying 60 tons of weaponry, the King Crab Omni is fully capable of fufilling General Kerensky's request for a mech that can 'cripple of destroy another Mech ins a single salvo.' In its primary configuration, it eschews any backup weaponry for a pair of Long Tom Cannons, each capable of shredding most mechs with a single shot.

Description

The King Crab-000b, the Star League's Royal variant, is every bit as powerful as its downgraded cousin, the -0000. Still armed with twin AC/20s, the -000b's double heat sinks and doubled ammo keeps the massive cannons firing far longer and more frequently making the -000b a true terror on the battlefield.

Description

One of the so-called Clanbuster variants during the lead-up to the Battle of Tukayyid, ComStar's techs replaced the twin autocannons with two Gauss Rifles and four tons of ammo in the arms, trading a minor reduction in destructive capacity for greatly increased range. While retaining the LRM launcher the large laser was upgraded to a Large Pulse Laser and two Streak SRM-2s, split between the side torsos with a single ton of reloads each, were added. These changes were accomplished by using an extralight engine in place of the standard model.

Description

The King Crab-002 is a natural extension of the King Crab's combat role: brutal close assault. The AC/20s of the original were upgraded to LB-20X versions with 6 total tons of ammo. All the King Crab's backup weapons were replaced with a pair of Large Pulse Lasers in the right torso. Endo-Steel gives the bonus weight to allow for these improvements and CASE protects both side torso ammo bins. The -002 saw small but regular sales and remained in production through the 3060s.

Description

The King Crab -005 is an upgrade of the downgraded -0000 model that replaces the AC/20s with massive LB-X 20s, while the Large Laser was replaced with an ER model. Cementing the -005's focus on CQC, the LRM-15 was dropped in favor of a pair of Streak SRM-4s, with a C3i computer to round off the -005's role in a Level II.

Its twin AC/20s have been stripped for hydraulic and actuator modifications, turning the existing claws into massive 7-ton mech shredders that can pluck arms off of 'Mechs like daisies out of the ground. Triple Strength Myomer, a Supercharger, twin Laser AMS, and a massive 400XL engine ensure the Snib Snab gets to do a lot of snibbing and snabbing.

This variant keeps the original's triple strength myomer and supercharger, but aims to improve durability by swapping the engine to Clan-spec, and by integrating Null Signature System and Chameleon Light Polarization Shield steath technologies. The weapons loadout has been stripped entirely, in favor of an improved NARC system, and two M-pods provide additional melee support.

Description

Developed in secret by Cosara Weaponries and the Terran Hegemony, the KGC-010 is built around a then-newly developed Magna PPC that sat flush with the torsos and tricked opponents into not understanding what they were fighting. Combined with a pair of powerful LB-10X Autocannons and 12 SRM tubes ringing the PPCs and the KGC-010 proved a deadly opponent. However, all existing examples went with Kerensky on the Exodus and they were only preserved in the Clans, making the -010 exceedingly rare.

Description

The rebirth of the Terran Hegemony brought with it a need for a restarted military sector among the core worlds of the Inner Sphere. To meet the new Hegemony's demand for material, the various corporations of the Inner Sphere got right to work on new variants for the Hegemony's war machine. One such design is the KGC-011, a heavy-duty juggernaut up to the task of crushing all who would oppose the Hegemony. Armed with twin Silver Bullet Gauss Rifles as well as a Large X-Pulse and two MML-7s, no enemy is safe from the -011. Thick armor and an Angel ECM keep it well defended in combat.

Description

A personalized design driven by the pilot callsign of bloodydoves, the KGC-BD is a highly customized King Crab that exists to punish enemies merely for existing in the same battlezone as it does. The primary weapons are a pair of massive Rotary Gauss Rifles. Backing them up and providing incredible damage potential are a Piercing Large Pulse Laser and six Piercing SRM tubes. A Clan-spec ECM gives protection while an advanced TTS provides accuracy for the gauss rifles.

Description

Based on the King Crab driven by Ivo Greenburg, CO of Greenburg's Godzillas, the Kaiju is a powerful ranged combatant though it suffers at point blank. Armed with a quartet of PPCs, a Ultra AC/5, and a LRM-15, it can crack apart anything at range. Just don't let enemies get too close.
