Description

The Cossack was named for the mercenary unit Khorsakov's Cossacks in honor of their faithful service to the St. Ives Compact. However, the 'Mech is a compromise design, originally intended as a super-fast scout it eventually morphed into a relatively slow but heavily armored light trooper 'Mech. Powered with a 120-rated XL engine and built with an Endo-Steel skeleton, the Cossack's ground speed is low for its weight but it has 6 jump jets to keep mobile. For firepower, it carries a SRM-6, a Medium Laser, and twin Small Lasers, more than enough to defend itself against other light mechs.
