Description
The Dragon Fire is a design that was originally designed in the 28th century, but never made the transition from a design on paper to an actual production model. The discovery of the Gray Death Memory Core gave the Dragon Fire a new lease on life and the 'Mech first saw production in late 3058. Powered by a 300 XL Engine and built on an Endo-Steel structure, the Dragon Fire carries an impressive arsenal: a Gauss Rifle and LB-10X Autocannon for ranged punch, a Large Laser gives secondary fire, and a pair of Medium Pulse Lasers cover close ranges. 14.5 tons of armor and a Guardian ECM Suite protect the mech.

Description
A ComStar experimental variant designed to replace outmoded fire support mechs, the DGR-4X mounts an impressive array of sophisticated fire control and tracking systems. A pair of LAC/2s firing kinetic penetrator rounds soften targets until the -4X is in range to bring its LAC/5s and Plasma Rifles to bear. Modified to fire the newer caseless autocannon rounds, the LAC/5s have enough ammunition to outlast most opponents while the plasma rifles hamper an enemy's ability to return fire. 14 tons of light ferro-fibrous armour keep the mech safe from enemy fire while a C3i system provides unit co-ordination. The XL engine presents a significant vulnerability to a mech carrying so much volatile ammunition and so storage has been moved to the arms and reinforced with CASE II.

Description
The Dragon Fire proved such a successful design that the manufacturer, J.B. Battlemechs, designed a version specifically for the mercenary market. The result, the DGR-6F, was so popular that it ended up in both Draconis Combine and Lyran Commonwealth armed forces. Armed with a battery of MML launchers, two 7-tube and two 5-tube, the DGR-6F is capable of supporting any offensive. A battery of Medium Lasers provides no-frills firepower. The only downside to the design is its light ammo, only 4 tons total, though the ammo is defended by CASE II in both side torsos.

Description
A deeply experimental variant of the Dragon Fire, the DGR-MKD is built around a Unique Light Fusion engine that is bulkier and more fragile but boosts engine power to increase movement speed somewhat. The remainder of the mech is fairly mundane, with only the engine being truly unique about the design. A pair each of LAC/5s and LAC/2s provide primary firepower while an unusual, probably salvaged, Enhanced ER PPC provides ranged support. A C3i unit lets it join C3i networks for targeting accuracy and a Targeting Computer and Ballistic TTS provide firing solutions.

Description
Developed as a mass produced version of a strange racing 'Mech from the Periphery, the DGR-SW is an unusual design, blending cutting-edge tech with Periphery firepower to form an odd whole. For firepower the 'Mech uses four Periphery Light Cannons with reloading ammo feeds. For protection it uses Capellan Stealth Armor as well as a captured Sanctuary SHIELD system (leading to the Sanctuary lending its name to the 'Mech's designation) for the 2-ton ammo bin. For speed it uses a MASC system and for weight it uses highly fragile Composite structure (pilots are warned to be cautious around Sanctuary weaponry) and an XXL Engine. Truly, an unusual design for unusual times.

Description
Sandwurm is not the 'Mech you'd expect to see in the arenas. When someone says 'Dragon Fire', the image that comes to mind is that of high-tech sophistication but when Sandwurm comes out and they see the mammoth Sniper Artillery Cannons on its back, panic usually sets in. Even though it has two Medium Lasers for bonus firepower, they hardly matter as the cannons typically flatten anything in sight with their four tons of CASE II protected ammo. Truly, Sandwurm is deadly and unexpected, just like its namesake can be.
