Description
Intended to replace the Crab as the SLDF's premier medium mech, political and technological delays prevented the Starslayer's deployment until late into the Amaris Civil War. By then a thoroughly Lyran design, the Starslayer was another casualty of the Succession Wars, eventually resuming production in the 3050s. Built with a 250-rated engine and five jump jets, the Starslayer is highly maneuverable and well protected by Ferro-Fibrous armor and CASE. Armed with a battery of Large, Medium, and Small Lasers with a SRM-4 for backup, the Starslayer is a versatile machine. Unlike the later -3C, the -2C has no endo-steel and only 7 tons of armor. Otherwise, the -2C and -3C are the same.

Description
An interim design by the Nova Cats during their Golden Century, the Starslayer 2C-EC served largely as a testbed for improved and prototype Clan technologies during their early years. All the STY-2C's weapons were stripped and replaced with twin Improved Large Lasers, Early Clan prototype ER Medium and ER Small Lasers, and an Early Clan prototype Streak SRM-4 stolen from the Star Adders. Like other mechs of its era, the Starslayer 2C-EC was largely relegated to garrision units and then forgotten.

Description
The 3D variant of the Starslayer is intended to allow the 'Mech to better engage an enemy at long ranges. This is accomplished by removing one of the Large Lasers, the SRM-4 launcher, and the Small Laser. These are replaced with an additional Medium Laser and an ER PPC that can hit a target accurately at six hundred and ninety meters as well as one additional double heat sink to deal with the extra heat from the ER PPC.
