Description

Only a prototype when the Amaris Coup broke out in 2766, the Sling managed to find its way into SLDF hands in time for the Battle of Terra. The Sling's trio of LRM-5s, armed with FASCAM munitions, proved highly effective on the tight Terran battlefields. After the war, most remaining Slings were either mothballed (where they would later come into service with ComStar and the reborn Terran Hegemony) or accompanied the SLDF into exile. The Sling is built on a 175-rated XL engine with Endo-Steel and Ferro-Fibrous for weight savings. It carries three LRM-5s (typically armed with FASCAM munitions) and a TAG spotting laser for assistance with other Slings.

The SL-1H also retains the TAG from the base model so that the Sling can continue supporting its allies.

The Sling is built on a 175-rated XL engine with Endo-Steel and Ferro-Fibrous for weight savings. It carries three SRM-4s as its sole firepower, which is usually more than enough to decimate anything it can catch. 11 standard heat sinks keep it all frosty.
