Description
Built by the St. Ives Compact as a take on a Major Michael Jones' Vindicator, named the St. Ives Blues, the 1SIC is a similar design built on a larger scale for the St. Ives military. It swaps the PPC of the VND-1R for a Large Laser, using the saved tonnage to upgrade the LRM-5 rack to a LRM-10. The VND-1SIC would go on to serve with distinction in the Compact's military until their dissolution in the late 3060s.

Created as a field modification of a Vindicator-1R by a pilot who wanted a little more direct firepower as well as some anti-infantry capability, the -2AN is a simple change. The mech loses a few heat sinks and the Small Laser to gain a second Medium Laser and a Flamer, both in the left arm. The remaining tonnage goes to extra armor.

Description
The Vindicator 2MC is an experimental Canopian upgrade based on the 1R variant, making use of rediscovered technology bought from the Inner Sphere. Its defining features are the XXL 270 engine, ferro-fibrous armor and two Plasma Rifles drawing on three tons of ammo. The LRM5 remaining from the original design is upgraded to feed from a bin of FTL missiles.

Description
Given its history and how instantly recognisable the St. Ives Blues design is it was inevitable that someone would attempt to leverage that fame for an arena design, albeit using improved technology to remain relevant in the modern era while attempting to keep to the spirit of the original. The St. Ives Blues 2 mounts an XL 225 engine and Endo-Steel frame free up significant weight to increase the firepower and movement of the original. An ER Large Laser in the right arm is augmented by two Medium Pulse Lasers located in the arm and the head, while two ER Small Lasers occupy the left arm. The LRM-10 in the left torso is fed by a single ton of ammunition with CASE. Eleven Double Heat Sinks keep the 'Mech cool and four Jump Jets provide additional mobility.

Description
Designed by the St. Ives Compact as a weapons testbed, the VND-2SIC proved effective enough to become a production model. The -2SIC uses a Medium and Small X-Pulse Laser for close-range combat while a Mech Mortar/4 provides AMS-proof ranged firepower. Backing these experimental weapons up is a dependable ER PPC. The -2SIC also takes a cue from the ill-fated VND-1AA and increases the mech's ground speed to that of a Wolverine. It is well armored and uses double heat sinks to keep the heat under control.

The 3L variant is a basic upgrade using recovered Star League technology. The PPC was upgraded to a ER PPC and the medium and small lasers have been removed in favor of a single Medium Pulse Laser. To handle the extra heat from the new ER PPC double heat sinks were added while CASE was installed to protect the LRM's ammunition.
