Designed by ComStar in the lead up to the Battle of Tukayyid as one of the so-called Clanbuster refits, the BL-9-KNT is still energy-focused but carries a close-range surprise for anyone who closes with it, a mighty Hatchet. The remainder of the mech's aresenal is very much Black Knight-ish: 4 Medium Pulse Lasers, 2 Large Lasers, a Large Pulse Laser, and an ER PPC. 17 DHS try to keep the heat under control but are inadequate for the task if the pilot is aggressive with the weapons.

Description
Based on ComStar's Clanbuster Black Knight, the BL-10X-KNT is a radical departure from standard Black Knights. In the left arm is the Clanbuster's Hatchet but in the right, instead of a brace of energy weapons, the -10X carries a massive Ultra Autocannon/20. These weapons are backed by 4 Medium Pulse Lasers, making the -10X an incredible force of destruction in close-quarters combat. However, that power comes with a price: it runs a bit hot and has a fragile XL engine, meaning a critical hit to its generous 4-ton ammo bin and the mech is destroyed instantly.

Description
The BL-12 was probably the most technologically advanced version of the Black Knight leading up to the Jihad. While still based on the original BL-6 model this design goes in a completely different direction from the BL-9. Introduced in 3063 the first thing that was done to the BL-12 was the upgrade of all of the medium lasers and the PPC to extended range versions, then its single heat sinks were upgraded to double strength versions, reducing the total number from twenty to sixteen. Finally, all of the weapons were mated to a Targeting Computer.

Description
Patterned after a MechWarrior who served House Davion in the War of 3039, Partisan is a customized arena design using a mix of downgraded Succession Wars technology and cutting-edge tech. Partisan carries the standard Black Knight mix of lasers but mixes it up with an Autocannon/5 and a SRM-2. Double heat sinks keep it cold while Triple-Strength Myomer is a nod to the mech's use as a gladiator.

Description
The personal mech of Reginald VanJaster, the Red Reaper is a brutally powerful arena design taken straight from the arenas of Solaris VII. Armed primarily with a Large Vibroblade and Large Shield, Red Reaper looks somewhat like a medieval knight. Of course, medieval knights don't also come with a Heavy PPC with capacitor and a quintet of Medium X-Pulse Lasers, but that's modern life for you. The Red Reaper proved a hit in the arenas and led VanJaster to success as a gladiator.

Description
This classic Royal Black Knight has been rebuilt from the ground up for a number of highly experimental technologies. It features a Clan Endo Steel frame and 12 tons of Clan Ferro-Fibrous armour, as well as an Extra-Light Engine, freeing up the necessary tonnage and cooling for its weapons. Featuring the experimental Rotary ER PPC as its primary armament in its right arm, a quintet of Rotary Medium Pulse and two Rotary Large Lasers round out the remainder of its firepower, all of this tied to a targeting computer. 17 Double heatsinks, an Exchanger III and a Heat Bank struggle in vain to cool the mech on a full alpha. A single Rotary Small Pulse is fitted to the head for Battle Armour duty.

Description
Designed as an alternative to the BL-12-KNT, the so called 'Omni-knight' was an attempt to create a powerful and flexible chassis in response to the proliferation of the Night Gyr and Nova Cat in the clans. In its primary configuration, the Omni-Knight is built for as a hybrid command mech and fortification breaker. Its highly accurate Long Tom cannon could crack hardened positions in short order, as well as act as deterrence for any mech opponents. The five flamers and plasma cannon made up its close ranged defense, especially against vehicles and battle armour. Ultimately, its usage of Clan-spec components proved too difficult to source in large numbers, to say nothing of the cost. This ultimately limited the Omni-Knight's usage in the Inner Sphere.
