Description
A somewhat radical departure from the stock Centurion, the CN9-AH Variant trades out the stock AC10 and Medium Lasers for a single AC20. While this amounts to the same degree of firepower, it has the benefit of concentrating the damage to a single location.

Description
Developed as a method to cripple enemy 'Mechs without outright destroying them, the CN9-AP proved moderately effective at this role. Nicknamed the Scrapper by its pilots, the -AP carries an AC/5 and AC/2 for primary firepower, both equipped with piercing ammunition, as well as 10 SRM tubes with tandem ammo for even more bypassed armor. While slow, the -AP was effective enough to see moderately wide deployment among down on their luck garrison forces across the Inner Sphere.

Description
The D variant of the Centurion is the first of many upgrades using Star League technology. The chassis was re-engineered to use Endo Steel construction techniques, the power plant was changed from the standard engine to an GM 300 extralight engine, and the weapons were upgraded. The Autocannon/10 was swapped for a Mydron Excel LB-X Autocannon/10 and an Artemis IV fire control system was added to the LRM launcher while the two Medium Lasers were retained.

Description
The D3D variant of this 'Mech is a potent long-range sniper, first built in 3060. It uses the same chassis and engine combination as the D3 variant but uses MASC to augment its movement to give it a maximum speed of 129.6 kph. The primary weapon on the D3D is a Light Gauss Rifle. For added long range assistance, the 'Mech carries an LRM-10 launcher and for close range combat it carries an ER Medium Laser. This is all protected with eight tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor.

Description
This variant of the Centurion, introduced in 3062, is inspired by the CN9-D and uses the same engine and chassis. The 'Mech uses MASC to allow it bursts of speed reaching up to 129.6 kph while the weapons compliment has been completely removed. In their place the 'Mechs primary weapon is a Rotary Autocannon/5, backed up by two ER medium lasers. To direct this firepower, the 'Mech uses an advanced Targeting Computer and the 'Mech carries a C3 Slave unit to allow it to share targeting data with its lance mates.

Description
Designed in order to use the Federated Commonwealth's new Enhanced LRM system, the CN9-D6 packs quite a wallop for a mech its size. Armed with the requisite NLRM-10, it pairs the missile rack with an Ultra Autocannon/10 for grit up close. For ammo-free firepower, the -D6 carries a lone ER Medium Laser. A MASC system ensures the Centurion can get up close and personal with the enemy, something the NLRM excels at.

Description
Developed by the Marian Hegemony's first 'Mech production plant, this variant uses Primitive technology. Though the larger Primitive Engine takes up more room than a Succession Wars-era model and the nine tons of Primitive Armor don't provide as much protection as the CN9-A model, the LB 10-X AC and quintet of Rocket Launcher 10s provide excellent firepower. A single Medium Laser rounds out the armament. Description
An early prototype of what would later become the Centurion CN9-H, the CN9-PA was designed by the Marian Hegemony with minor aid from Periphery Armory, Inc. Sometimes reported as the CN9-HX and sometimes as the CN9-PA, this mech shares much with the later CN9-H such as rockets and primitive components. However, its main firepower comes from a Medium Rifle and a Mech Grenade Launcher, while a pair of Rocket Launcher 20s and a solitary Medium Laser play backup. The -HX/-PA was quickly outpaced by the -H once the Marians got their production together.

Description
A common and popular Periphery chassis, the Centurion lends itself well to various low-tech refits, of which the PA1 is one example. Armed with a Medium Cannon with an ammo feed to permit on-the-fly reloading, the CN9-PA1 has quite the right hook. Twin Rocket Launcher-20s provide some one-shot backup while two Medium Lasers give endurance in extended firefights.

Description
Centurions are ever reliable on the battlefield and so they've seen dozens of refits across their long service history. The CN9-PA2 is one such refit. Armed for a fire support role, the -PA2 carries a trio of LRM-10s with a Light Rifle and Medium Laser for backup. With just enough ammunition for the LRMs, the -PA2 proved an adept fire support design and has seen many copycat refits across the Periphery.

Description
Centurions are ever reliable on the battlefield and so they've seen dozens of refits across their long service history. The CN9-PA3 is one such refit, though it takes a bit of a twist from normal Centurions. Instead of mounting a large ballistic weapon, it mounts a mammoth Sniper Artillery Cannon for primary firepower. The Sniper Cannon is more than capable of obliterating anything the Centurion can catch with it, making this variant a prime target on the battlefield. Twin Medium Lasers feel like a pure afterthought to the gigantic cannon.

Description
Centurions are ever reliable on the battlefield and so they've seen dozens of refits across their long service history. The CN9-PAH is one such refit. Armed with a simple yet rugged weapon load of an Autocannon/20 for punch and a Large Laser for range, the CN9-PAH can threaten enemies at any range with respectable firepower. The CN9-PAH was a success and served in armies across the entire Periphery.

Description
A very weird 'mech, the CN9-S or 'Southpaw' as it's called, appears to be a normal Centurion... that has been flipped on its X axis so that the autocannon is in the left arm. It's an odd duck and is usually found in the periphery where 'mech parts are rarer and techs make things work that the Inner Sphere doesn't need to deal with. Of course, the parts are all over the place too. The effect is purely visual, the parts are still in the 'right' places in the loadout. This mech is just for fun.

Description
An upgrade on the original Succession Wars era design, an XL engine has been fitted to free up weight for more weapons. The AC/20 has been replaced with a Gauss Rifle with two tons of ammunition. Three medium pulse lasers - two in the left arm and one in the center torso, replace the old standard ones. Additionally, the left arm Hatchet has been augmented with Triple-Strength Myomer to make a dangerous melee combatant.

Description
The D4D Centurion is almost identical to the D3D variant with two major modifications. Produced in 3066, the engine has been replaced with a smaller model to make more room for weapons on the 'Mech, allowing the LRM-10 to be upgraded to an LRM-15 with an Artemis IV fire control system for greater long-range support capabilities. Additionally, it mounts a MASC to regain some of the speed lost from the smaller engine. The Light Gauss Rifle of the -D3D is retained.
