Description

Designed by the Rim Worlds Republic during the Amaris Civil War, the Dragoon very quickly became a lost BattleMech as the SLDF purged the existing examples and refused to take any on the Exodus. However, they were not thorough enough and some Dragoons, as well as their design plans, survived and were put back into production in the late 3050s. The Dragoon AEM-01 is the base model, armed simply with twin LB-10X Autocannons and an ER PPC. Three jump jets help maneuverability and ECM gives added protection. 11 DHS and an XL Engine round out the mech.

Description

Designed by the Rim Worlds Republic during the Amaris Civil War, the Dragoon very quickly became a lost BattleMech as the SLDF purged the existing examples and refused to take any on the Exodus. However, the plans for the Dragoon survived and were brought back to the RWR in the wake of the Exodus, where they were kept safe until being put back into production in the 3050s as technology returned. The AEM-001A is an upgraded version of the Dragoon, using two 'Death' Rays as new weapons to fend off Clan Jade Falcon aggression and help secure the RWR's tenuous borders. The -001A carries 17 DHS and a targeting computer to help the rays stay operational.

Designed by the Rim Worlds Republic during the Amaris Civil War, the Dragoon very quickly became a lost BattleMech as the SLDF purged the existing examples and refused to take any on the Exodus. However, the plans for the Dragoon survived and were brought back to the RWR in the wake of the Exodus, where they were kept safe until being put back into production in the 3050s as technology returned. The AEM-002A is armed with the Mercy weapon system, which is essentially a rotary 'Mech-scale rocket-propelled grenade launcher system and is exactly as devastating as it sounds. For backup firepower the AEM-002A carries a Large Pulse Laser and a Shredder MG (for pesky infantry) and 17 DHS keep it all chilled.

The Dragoon AEM-004 is a sniper design, armed with a Gauss Rifle and ER PPC for ranged combat. Up close, it can call on five SRM-4s and a Medium Laser for backup.

However, they were not thorough enough and some Dragoons, as well as their design plans, survived and were put back into production in the late 3050s. The Dragoon AEM-004X is an experimental Star League-era model that never saw production in its era. Armed with a grab bag of SL tech, it carries a Gauss Rifle, Large Pulse Laser, Narc Launcher, Guardian ECM, and 8 total SRM tubes.

However, they were not thorough enough and some Dragoons, as well as their design plans, survived and were put back into production in the late 3050s. The Dragoon AEM-005X is a Rim Worlds Republic upgrade, armed with the best weapons the RWR could purchase. The LB-10X of the base AEM-01 was retained but the rest of the firepower was swapped for a Snub-Nose PPC and MML-7 along with two ER Medium Lasers. The engine was upgraded to a 350-rated XL and four tons of CASE'd ammo provide endurance.

Description

Though a rare design, almost entirely lost to history, the Dragoon proved an able and powerful chassis for the Rim Collection after being revived by that state during the 3060s. However, a few Dragoon chassis were eventually sold to enterprising mercenary units, one of which made the AEM-MKD. Armed with nothing but the newly developed Platinum Thunderbolt-5 system, six of them to be precise, the -MKD is an able and dangerous design, though quite rare.

Description

Naming your 'Mech after the perpetrators of one of the worst mass murders in history is a bold choice, the kind of choice you could only see in the arenas of the gameworld, Solaris VII. Greenhaven, named after Stefan Amaris's Greenhaven Gestapo, is a Dragoon that has been dragged out of the mists of history to fight once more. The original pilot was mum on where he got it, saying only that he had to pry it from the clutches of its former owner. The armamnent is decidedly Periphery, with a quartet of Heavy Rifles (two with revolver attachments) as the sole firepower. Still, Greenhaven has a good record in the arenas and is well-regarded by the fans, so the pilot's doing something right.
