The following is a brief summary and an explanation of what requirements you need to meet in order to get the event to fire. Further details are provided but they contain spoilers. Don't read them unless you really want to know exactly what happens in the event.

Blaze has an announcement about the results of the racing season.

- You accepted Blaze's offer to join the ISORES racing league in the event "The Need For Speed"
- Blaze is a member of the crew
- Blaze has completed five race events
Event Details:

Blaze asks to speak to the crew after the morning briefing.
"Everyone! I got a message from ISORES last night with the results of our race season, but I wanted to wait to open it until you were all around. Before I do though, I wanted to thank you both. Commander, I had a blast racing again and I couldn't have done it without your advice, or the financial support of the company. Yang, I can't thank you enough for agreeing to maintain and repair the racer after every race. We made a pretty good team didn't we? Now, let's see how we did."

Option A - (Requirement: Won all five races) "Read the message from ISORES.":
Dear Blaze,
We at ISORES are proud to announce your confirmation as one of this years' Champions. Please extend our congratulations to your race team, and we wish you all the best. In recognition of your achievement, we have announced your status as Champion to every nation in which we operate.

Blaze is ecstatic, spending a portion of her winnings on a case of Glengarry Black to share with the crew. Although everyone had a blast celebrating, Yang and Doc Cobble both report that their respective crews' efficiency will be somewhat impaired for a while. Still, you've already received messages of congratulations from most of your MRBC liaisons. Seems almost everyone likes a winner, and Blaze has noticeably improved her piloting.
Result:
- Blaze's Piloting stat increased by 1
- Company Med Tech skill reduced by 1 for 7 days
- Company Mech Tech skill reduced by 2 for 7 days
- Company C-Bills increased by 100,000
- Capellan Confederation reputation increased by 3

Option B - (Requirement: Won 1-4 races) "Read the message from ISORES.":

Blaze is pretty happy about the winning season, especially since it meant you made more money than you lost, and she's certainly become a better pilot as a result.
Result:
- Blaze's Piloting stat increased by 1
- Company C-Bills increased by 50,000

ISORES would like to thank you for your participation in this years' off-road racing competition. It is the racers like you that make our competitions possible, and you should be proud to have taken part. We wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you compete in the future.

Blaze is a happy to have been able race at all, albeit a little disappointed at a losing season. For his part Yang is just happy to not have to tune carburetors anymore.
