Description
The Icarus II is a mostly forgotten mech, but mostly is not entirely. In the late 3050s this, the ICR-1R, hit the market with little fanfare. The -1R attempts to turn the slow and overgunned Icarus II into a more traditional mech of its tonnage by speeding it up significantly. The -1R does over 90kp/h and brings its LB-5X Autocannon and 3 Medium Pulse Lasers to bear with swiftness. Its 6 jump jets and adequate armor give it staying power on the modern battlefield. However, to get this performance, a XL Engine was required, making the -1R somewhat fragile.

Description
The Icarus II was the first homegrown BattleMech design to be mass-produced by the Free Worlds League. Originally designed as a speedy striker to compliment the Mackie, the Icarus II was fast enough for its day though it is pitfully slow by modern standards. The primary armament of the Icarus II is an Autocannon/10. It is backed up by a pair of Medium Lasers and a single Small Laser.

Description
The original prototype Icarus was developed at the Happen Military Reservation on Xanthe III in 2466 and was first deployed on Alula Australis in 2469. Its premiere date in official documents is listed as 2470. The prototype used primitive equipment and lacked jump jets. It had a Large Laser to complement the Small Laser. Two SRM-2s and twin Machine Guns could prove devastating to conventional troops. The primitive engine drove it to a maximum of 64 km/h. Ten and a half tons of Primitive Armor provided protection.

Description
A rare high-tech design out of the mechworks at Periphery Armory, Inc, the ICR-2PA uses modern Endo-Steel construction as well as double heat sinks. However, the weaponry has that PAI feel you've come to expect: a Heavy Cannon and two Reloading Rocket Launcher-20s for massive burst potential with three rugged Medium Lasers backing them up for lighter engagements that don't necessitate the use of the big guns.

Description
Designed for Periphery forces with money but not too much money, the ICR-2S has the modern touches of Double Heat Sinks and Endo-Steel construction, but the weapons are decidedly Periphery. A pair of SRM-6s and Medium Lasers provide the main punch while a Medium Rifle gives some longer range firepower. Decent armor and the Icarus II's traditional slow speed round out the -2S package. It proved to be a moderate hit with Periphery buyers and found its way onto many Periphery battlefields.
