Description

The second BattleMech model introduced by the Free Worlds League, the Hector entered service in 2471. Built by Corean Enterprises on Stewart, it used a simple design suited for mass production and quickly became the workhorse of the Free Worlds League Military's 'Mech regiments despite being limited by the primitive technology of the time. Even though it had respectable heavy mech speed for its era, the paltry Large Lasers and Machine Guns led to the Hector quickly being outclassed and was a lost design early on. However, the mech was eventually put back into production in retrotech factories in the Periphery in the 3060s.

Description

House Marik in the 3060s found themselves looking for a boost to nationalistic feelings in their population and unearthed one of their oldest mech designs, the Hector. Designers went back to the drawing board with the Hector and came up with this, the HOR-2B. Armed with a battery of Large and Medium Pulse Lasers, as well as the traditional leg-mounted Machine Guns, the Hector proved adept as a heavy trooper design. A battery of 15 DHS keeps it all fairly chilly and 12 tons of armor keeps the Hector in the fight longer than the opponent.

Description

The Hector is one of the oldest mech designs in existence today and served the FWL well in the Age of War. However, it was quickly outclassed and left behind by the march of years. In recent years though it has seen a resurgence in the Periphery as a cheap and effective heavy mech. The -2PA carries twin PPCs, twin Large Chem Lasers, and twin Small Chem Lasers in the Hector's famous leg mounts.

Description

The second of House Marik's revived Hector production line, the HOR-3G uses the pride of the FWLM's arsenal: the Light Gauss Rifle. In fact, it carries two of them along with a battery of ER Medium Lasers, which lets the Hector-3G reach out and touch anyone on the battlefield. An Endo-Steel frame gives the weight necessary for the gauss rifles while two tons of ammo provides acceptable endurance for the guns. A pair of Machine Guns, leg mounted naturally, keeps infantry away. The HOR-3G found acceptance into the FWLM and served with honor, if not distinction.
