Details | Essentially a scaled-down attempt at a mech-mountable Naval Gauss Rifle, the Rail Gun is the largest mech-portable direct-fire weapon ever created. Arguably, it's the largest mech-portable direct-fire weapon possible given current limitations of weapons technology. It deals unbelievable damage and knocks things over in only a few shots. However, it has incredibly terrible ammo endurance, suffers from immense recoil that essentially necessitates staggering your fire, and is gigantic, limiting it largely to only the very biggest mechs. Still, if you need to vaporize something in a single shot, it doesn't get any better than this.
