DetailsThe Extended LRM was developed by the Federated Commonwealth at Coventry Metal Works in order to attempt to counter-act the invading Clans. The Extended LRM, or ELRM, includes an extra booster system on each missile to give more range. However, the boosters also mean the minimum range of the ELRM is substantially increased while additionally increasing the bulk and weight of the launcher by a considerable amount. ELRMs use their own ammunition, Extended LRM ammunition, and are not compatible with standard LRM munitions nor the Artemis IV Fire Control System.
