Clan Wolf technicians replaced the weapons with a battery of experimental early Clan prototypes, including an Improved Gauss Rifle, an Improved LRM-20 with Artemis IV, and Early Clan ER Medium and Small Lasers. This freed up enough weight to improve the armor dramatically while retaining the Excalibur's high ground speed. Though forgotten by the modern Clans, the EXC-B2b-EC can still rarely be found in the hands of Dark Caste bandits. |
