Details | The Sanctuary Worlds developed laser technology in a different direction than the Inner Sphere, one such example of their unusual weaponry development is the Electro-Web Laser, mounted exclusively on the Coehorn BattleMech. The Electro-Web is named such because it uses a distributed webbing network across the top of the mech to siphon ambient electrical energy into a singular weapons discharge every now and then. This discharge does minimal actual damage but can shut down enemies struck from the heavy electrical shock, much like a Sanctuary electro-laser but dialed up by a hundred. The Electro-Web Laser proved powerful but extremely limited due to the fragility to the webbing and so was kept exclusive to the Coehorn. |
