Description

The Hammerhands is one of the earliest Federated Suns BattleMechs, coming into service early in the Age of War. After falling out of service for centuries, it was resurrected in the 3050s as a platform to test newly rediscovered technologies on in a way that would also boost national pride. The HMH-3A is built on a newly developed Endo-Steel frame while still using the same old 225-rated engine as the original. For firepower, the 3A carries twin Thumper Artillery Pieces. For backup firepower it carries two SRM-4s with a single ton of ammo between them.

Description

The Hammerhands is one of the earliest Federated Suns BattleMechs, coming into service after a decade of reports on its progenitor the Battleaxe's service record. Achernar BattleMechs quickly determined that the answer to the BattleAxe's overheating problems was to simply replace the weapons with ice-cold Autocannon/10s instead of the toasty PPCs. Built around a sturdy as hell 225-rated standard fusion engine and carrying two AC/10s for firepower, the Hammerhands is a simple and reliable machine and served as the predecessor to the now-venerable Warhammer.

Description

After falling out of service for centuries, it was resurrected in the 3050s as a platform to test newly rediscovered technologies on in a way that would also boost national pride. The HMH-3F is built on the same old reliable 225 fusion engine but swaps the old AC/10s for brand new LB-10X Autocannons. The four tons of ammunition is well CASE'd and the old Medium Lasers and SRM pack are retained, as are the jump jets. The 3F would spawn a number of further refits and bring the Hammerhands back into popularity in the Federated Suns.

The HMH-4D drops the -3D's SRM-6 and jump jets, cedeing to noted Davion MechWarrior dislike of jump jets, and replaces them with a sole PPC for ranged combat.

After falling out of service for centuries, it was resurrected in the 3050s as a platform to test newly rediscovered technologies on in a way that would also boost national pride. The HMH-4F is built on the updated HMH-3F's chassis but tests a different weapon system, this time being the Ultra Autocannon/10s mounted in the arms. Armed with two UAC/10s and two Medium Lasers, the HMH-4F is a simple and clean design and found immediate acceptance among the AFFS.

After falling out of service for centuries, it was resurrected in the 3050s as a platform to test newly rediscovered technologies on in a way that would also boost national pride. The HMH-5F is built on a newly developed Endo-Steel frame, though it uses the same old 225-rated engine as ever. It uses this extra tonnage to carry twin Gauss Rifles while maintaining the standard SRM and Medium Laser backup weaponry. A trio of jump jets and five tons of ammo round out the design.

Description

The Hammerhands is one of the earliest Federated Suns BattleMechs, coming into service early in the Age of War. After falling out of service for centuries, it was resurrected in the 3050s as a platform to test newly rediscovered technologies on in a way that would also boost national pride. The HMH-6F is built on a newly developed Endo-Composite frame and uses a high-power 300-rated XL engine for motive force. Four jump jets let the 6F bring its twin AC/20s and twin Medium Lasers to bear with ease and four tons of CASE-protected ammo along with 12 DHS guarantee continual weapons fire.

Description

A 'Mech as old as the Hammerhands has been through the wringer and this one is no exception. Mallet is a Hammerhands so old that the designation doesn't appear in modern records anymore and, rumor has it, has been floating around the gameworld arenas for more than a century. Armed with a BattleMech Mace and a Large Shield, Mallet does just that: crushes the opponent beneath the right arm hammer. The Snub-Nose PPCs and Medium Lasers don't hurt though. Mallet's Supercharger ensures it can get close and four jump jets ensure that no arena is beyond Mallet's reach., A 'Mech as old as the Hammerhands has been through the wringer and this one is no exception.
