Description

Designed by Zellbringen Stables and patterned on a more experimental Solaris VII arena design, the Ion has been designed for extended battlefield endurance. Originally based on a Clan-tech frankenmech arena design called the Ion Raptor, the Ion is a more sober, all Inner Sphere technology, version meant for sale on the market. Powered by a 280-rated Light Fusion Engine and built on a lightweight Endo-Steel frame, the Ion carries a powerful punch: 6 Light PPCs provide ranged firepower while 4 SRM-4s give short-ranged punch. 15 DHS strain to keep the 'mech cool. The Ion was a moderate success with the Great Houses and appears in all five militaries.
