Standard

Endo-Steel

Developed by the Terran Hegemony in 2487, Endo Steel was designed especially for use in BattleMech skeletons. Using zero-G manufacturing techniques that uniformly mix high-density steel with lower-density titanium and aluminum, the process produces a metal twice as strong per unit of weight as standard skeleton materials thus halving the weight of the chassis, but at an increase in overall bulk. Occupies 14 reserved slots but halves your internal structure weight.

Manufacturer: Lostech
Tonnage: 0
Critical Slots: 14 dynamic
Install Location: General
Value: 150,000
Gear ID: emod_structureslots_endosteel

Equipped Effects:

  • -50% structure weight
  • Takes up 14 critical slots in 'Mech

Critical Effects:

  • None

Notes:

  • Structure is always fixed equipment in BTA. You cannot remove or replace it
  • Dynamic slots will be automatically moved around the 'mech's components to fill up free space. E.g. if you fill up the torsos with gear the dynamic armor slots will move to fill the arms and legs

Endo-Steel (C)

Developed by the Terran Hegemony in 2487 and improved by the Clans after their Exodus, Clan Endo-Steel was designed especially for use in BattleMech skeletons. Using zero-G manufacturing techniques that uniformly mix high-density steel with lower-density titanium and aluminum, the process produces a metal twice as strong per unit of weight as standard skeleton materials, thus halving the weight of the chassis, but at an increase in overall bulk. Occupies 7 Endo-Steel slots but halves your internal structure weight.

Manufacturer: Clan
Tonnage: 0
Critical Slots: 7 dynamic
Install Location: General
Value: 1,750,000
Gear ID: emod_structureslots_clanendosteel

Equipped Effects:

  • -50% structure weight
  • Takes up 7 critical slots in 'Mech

Critical Effects:

  • None

Endo-Steel (S)

Since the Sanctuary did not have a technological dark age like the Inner Sphere did, they never stopped innovating and iterating on Endo-Steel. They eventually developed their own formula for the material that makes it less bulky at the cost of some level of fragility. It otherwise remains the same as Inner Sphere Endo-Steel.

Manufacturer: Sanctuary Manufacturing
Tonnage: 0
Critical Slots: 8 dynamic
Install Location: General
Value: 150,000
Gear ID: emod_structureslots_sanctuaryendosteel

Equipped Effects:

  • -50% structure weight
  • Takes up 8 critical slots in 'Mech
  • -50% Structure Health

Critical Effects:

  • None

  • Structure is always fixed equipment in BTA. You cannot remove or replace it
  • Dynamic slots will be automatically moved around the 'mech's components to fill up free space. E.g. if you fill up the torsos with gear the dynamic armor slots will move to fill the arms and legs

3rd Gen. Endo-Steel

This is a 3rd Generation Endo-Steel structure, designed by St. Ives to defend themselves against Capellan aggression. Mechanically, it resembles Clan-spec Endo-Steel but using Inner Sphere construction materials and techniques, making it cheaper to produce. 3rd Gen. Endo-Steel is Community Content gear.
