BTA uses the Expanded Initiative mod which doubles the initiative phases from 5 to 10. Units are organized into brackets by tonnage with every 10 tons being a new step in the bracket. Turrets operate on phase 8, 6, and 4 for light, medium, and heavy class turrets respectively. Note that quirks such as Command Mech and cockpit equipment like Battle Computers and Command Consoles will affect what initiative phase a mech moves in.
New feature: Holding shift while bracing (Default shift -) will cause a unit to reserve until initiative 1.
