This will explain the process on how to partially transfer your saved game data from one version to another that is incompatible due to changes in development.
With this process you can transfer the following information:
- Mech, vehicles and battle armors
- Equipment, Weapons and parts
- Faction information
- Funds
- Pilot experience points
With this process you CANNOT transfer the following information:
- Full pilot roster
- Argo upgrade progress
- Events and results of events
- Carrer progress
In order to do this you will need to use the save game editor, available here: https://www.nexusmods.com/battletech/mods/408
BEWARE there is no individual support for this on the BTA3062 discord
BEFORE updating BTA3062
Enter the game
Go to Mech Bay
Store all mechs, vehicles and battle armors
Go to barracks
Reset all pilot skills Shift-click the pilot, you need to have the upgrade training module 2 completed
Save the game
Exit the game
Manually gathering career data from previous save
Open Save Editor
Load Save
Scan Installation to add Mod data
Take note of reputation with factions and pilot experience
On Inventory, click export to file, and save it to a file
After Updating BTA following update instructions.
Create new career.
Save the game.
Exit the game.
Load save on Save editor
Set funds, reputation and pilot experience to the values you took note.
On inventory, click bulk add from file
Import from file you exported.
Save game.
Done.
