Details | A Periphery invention, or really re-discovery, light plating armor is just that: lighter plating from an older era of armor design. Designed to be light if a little bulky, light plating costs very little to produce and to install but also provides less protection per ton than standard military-grade armoring. Used as a sort of Ferro-Fibrous replacement for militaries on a severe budget, light plating makes a fine if unimpressive budget option. Armor tonnage gets reduced by 1/12 while taking up 8 slots and being 15% less effective. |
