In addition to providing a boost to the threshold at which a 'Mech becomes unsteady, the Heavy Duty Gyro also heavily reduces the amount of incoming stability damage dealt to the carrying 'Mech. However, it comes at a cost: the Heavy Duty Gyro is much heavier than a standard gyro, taking up much more weight.
