Description

Originally named the Mongrel and rechristened the Grendel after the Battle of Tukayyid, this highly maneuverable medium Clan design proved adept at leading light stars and recon and raiding missions. Powered by a 315-rated XL engine and built with both Endo-Steel and Ferro-Fibrous construction, the Grendel is a flexible and fast combat platform thanks to its 7 fixed jump jets. The Prime uses an ER Large Laser at range with a trio of ER Medium Lasers and an ER Small Laser at close range. A deadly Streak SRM-6 rounds out the design's offensive capabilities.

This missile boat carries a pair of LRM 15s with two tons of ammunition for each. A Medium Pulse Laser and ER Small Laser provide backup firepower. A MechWarrior will find it difficult to overheat this design.

Description

Based on Hell's Horses MechWarrior Boris Amirault's Grendel, the Beowulf is armed for all ranges with an eclectic mix of energy weaponry. For primary punch, Beowulf relies on an Inner Sphere sourced Bombast Laser. It's unclear why a Clan warrior would choose such a weapon but it is not a thing Inner Sphere warriors can understand. For knife-fighting range, Beowulf leans on two each of Micro Pulse Lasers and Heavy Small Lasers, all Clan-spec.
