However, this variant of the Dixon was repurposed for military applications. Armed with a variety of chemical lasers and grenade launchers, as well as some military-grade armor, the Dixon Bombardment Zeppelin proved moderately effective but generally could only be found among the poorer periphery forces that couldn't afford better equipment.
