Description

During the Succession Wars, many Star League-era Bombardiers were refit to the lower technology levels of the time, resulting in the BMB-10D. The -10D is much like the original -12D, but where the -12D has double heat sinks, CASE, and an XL engine, the -10D removes all those components. The loss of the XL engine lead to the the mech being forced to use a slower engine core, losing 20 kph from its top speed. The armament stayed much the same, though the AMS was swapped out for a Machine Gun. Otherwise, the thin ammo and large LRM racks remain from the -12D. The BMB-10D was not a well-received design and was often relegated to training duties.

Description

Continuing the trend toward specialized BattleMechs, the Bombardier was proposed to the Star League in 2735 by Wakazashi Enterprises as an artillery 'Mech. More than 800 of these were in service when the Star League fell and the Succession Wars were not kind to the mech. Thin ammo bins, expensive components, and poor backup weapons led to the Bombardier's general extinction in the IS, before being brought back in the 3050s. Armed with a pair of LRM-20s with 6 total turns of fire and carrying a lone SRM-4 for backup, the 12 tons of armor and the AMS system were not enough to give the Bombardier longevity on the field.

Description

This ComStar variant upgraded the capabilities of the Bombardier while at the same time attempting to address one of the primary issues of the design. The LRM launchers have been mated to a pair of Artemis IV Fire Control Systems while the new electronics package includes an improved C3 computer and the amount of ammunition carried was tripled. These changes increased the overall accuracy and effectiveness of the paired LRM-20s and were implemented by sacrificing the SRM launcher and Anti-Missile System. For close range defense, the 14C carries an ER Small Laser, while the chassis has been upgraded using Endo-Steel.

Description

This mech is a living nightmare, made by a diseased mind with no regard for goodness or sanity. Only an evil man could come up with this but here it is. The Prick, as it's called, carries a MRM-30 but it hardly matters. The real reason this mech is loathed in the arenas is the quartet of Piercing SRM-3s that it carries and that have carried it to dozens of victories. Nobody likes facing it, nobody thought it should exist, but here it is anyway, a curse from an uncaring god on an undeserving world.

Bonuses

Mech Quirk: Easy To Pilot

+10% walking distance

Mech Quirk: Hero Mech

+1 accuracy with ranged weapons, -6 heat at the end of the turn, +2 increased resolve gain

Pilot Affinity: Agile

Gains 1 bonus evasion from movement

Factions

The BMB-PRK can only be found as an enemy duelist in Game Worlds contracts.
