During the Golden Century, Clan Cloud Cobra, just like most of the clans, enjoyed considerable growth and relative peace which allowed them to pour time and resources into laboratories and research and development projects. One such result of these efforts was the Medusa, a 50-ton brain-child of Josian Cloister scientists. The 300XL Engine, Endo-Steel chassis, and Ferro-Fibrous armor makes the Medusa a considerably expensive 'Mech yet an effective one. First and foremost, the Medusa was designed around a trio of Clan SRM-6s spread across the torso and around the 'mech's distinctive cockpit cowling. As a longer-ranged complement to the array of SRMs, the design mounts a Large Pulse Laser and two ER Medium Lasers.

The MED-4 focuses on being a missile cloud, mounting a whopping seven ATM-3 launchers as well as a single ER Large Laser. 6 tons of ammo keeps the ATMs firing on all cylinders.

Description

Gorgon does just what the name implies: turns the enemy to stone. Using a mighty Mech Taser (acquired from unknown sources), Gorgon's initial zap is often enough to win the match all on its own. Two each of LRM-15s and Medium Pulse Lasers (all Clan-grade) feel almost unnecessary after the enemy shuts their 'Mech down in front of Gorgon's guns. The rest of the chassis is predictably regular for a Medusa: 6 jump jets provide mobility while a 300-rated Clan XL Engine provides power and 13 Clan DHS provide cooling.
