Developed by Vining Engineering and Salvage Team, the Volkh was originally intended as a testbed platform for some of VEST's more unique design ideas. However, it proved so effective in the arenas that it saw limited production on the Game World. Powered by a 225-rated XXL Engine and clad in a mammoth 17.5 tons of Hardened Armor, the Volkh can take a licking and keep on ticking. Its torso-mounted cockpit provides excellent pilot protection while four head mounted ER Medium Lasers and a SRM-4 deal with enemies at range. Up close, the Volkh has not one but two 'Mech-scale Lances to obliterate enemies with. Truly, the Volkh is a terror in the arenas.

Its torso-mounted cockpit provides excellent pilot protection while four head mounted Magshot Rifles and twin torso-mounted Rocket Launcher/20s smash enemies at range. Up close, the Volkh has two powerful Daggers with which to shank its enemies. Truly, the Volkh is a terror in the arenas.

Powered by a 225-rated XXL Engine and clad in a mammoth 17 tons of Hardened Armor, the Volkh can take a licking and keep on ticking. The VKH-9 is an even-more experimental refit of the Volkh built around a Virtual Reality Piloting Pod and twin BattleMech Swords for firepower. For ranged combat the VKH-9 can call upon two Thunderbolt 5 systems while a quartet of head-mounted Machine Guns shred targets up close.

Description
While VEST was experimenting with the Volkh, one of their test pilots was taking the experiments further still. After 'borrowing' one of the Volkh's test chassis, this nameless pilot managed to acquire some Clantech weapons and heat sinks and retrofitted their Volkh, renaming it Gothi (an ancient Earth term for priest) in the process. Armed with two each SRM-2s and Heavy Medium Lasers, all Clan-grade, as well as two 'Mech-scale Daggers, Gothi is more than capable of shredding anything it can catch and thanks to an upgraded 270-rated XXL engine plus Supercharger it can catch pretty much anything it wants.
